Ingredients

Scale

For the Cajun Seasoning (or use store-bought):

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Dish:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced into strips
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for extra heat)

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Season and Sear the Protein:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning ingredients (if not using store-bought).
  2. Pat the steak strips and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both generously with the Cajun seasoning on all sides.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes). Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste.

4. Combine Everything:

  1. Add the cooked pasta, steak, and shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat everything evenly and heat through for 1-2 minutes.

5. Garnish and Serve:

  1. Transfer the pasta to serving plates or a large bowl. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a bright, citrusy finish.
  2. Enjoy this bold and creamy dish as a main course with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete, restaurant-quality meal!
